Mr. Moses Makur Deng
Mr. Moses Makur Deng is currently the Acting Director General for Banking Supervision, Research and Statistics directorate of the Bank of South Sudan since April 2018. His banking career started when he joined the Central Banking Sudan (CBoS) in April 24th, 1996 as junior officer. He worked in various departments of the central bank until he reached the position of Director of Financial Markets Department from 2015-2017 and Director of Research and Statistics Department before his assignment as acting Director General of the directorate. During his 22 years of services in the Bank, he has attended several professional courses and training.
Mr. Moses holds Master’s Degree in Economics Policy for Developing Countries and Transitional Economies focusing on Macro and Microeconomic from the University of Bradford United kingdom (UK) in 2006/2007. Prior to this, he was awarded Bachelor of Science in Economic (division one) from University of Juba in 1992. His research was in the implementation and effectiveness of monetary policy in developing countries.
